Parties by Ellen
Based out of New York, Parties by Ellen is a full-service event planner that is well known for creating uniquely memorable weddings, engagement parties, bar and bat mitzvahs, and parties of all kinds. Ellen began her career in event planning over 25 years ago by helping her family and friends plan their most intimate and elaborate events and now runs a full scale event coordination company.

THE BRAND IDENTITY:
Upon meeting Ellen, the founder and lead event coordinator at Parties by Ellen, I immediately understood why the events that have her name on them are some of the most exquisite and expertly done. She is at once sophisticated and decisive while still remaining approachable and calm. This was the visual personality I sought to recreate through her branding.
The branding and logo system for Parties by Ellen is inspired by formal stationery design with a no frills attitude. When working with Ellen, she is very clear that no matter your budget your event will always run impeccably with her attention paid to every detail.

I took this initial visual concept and then applied it to the company's print elements and business materials.
COLOR PALETTE
The custom color palette created for Parties by Ellen is inspired by black and white vignettes and the colors found in those vintage images. They lend a very chic and timeless visual identity to the brand and ensure that Ellen's events are the showpieces for clients.

Designing www.partiesbyellen.com was like planning a wedding- detailed and exciting! Upon entering the site, Ellen's show stopping events are the first thing site users see. The photos change based on the most current events and potential clients see the amazing finished product they will receive when working with Ellen.

The simple and clean design of the site mimics the flawless execution and attention to detail that Parties by Ellen offers each of her clients.

Clients are prompted to pick their party so they can explore what Ellen offers them specifically in terms of their event.
The event planning industry places a lot of weight on word of mouth referrals. A big part of Ellen's site focuses on real client testimonials and press to help users and potential clients hear first hand experiences.
DIGITAL DESIGN
I created branded launch images for Ellen's social channels to announce her new website and brand identity. Keeping my clients social feeds branded in the same visual identity as their logo and website improves brand awareness and client trust.
